The contest themes are "Fair System," "Non-face-to-face Service," and "New Environment."
In particular, the "New Environment" category will hold a content contest including video and card news submissions to communicate with customers in various ways.
Any citizen of the Republic of Korea can participate in the contest. Online applications can be submitted through KEPCO's cyber branch.
Judging will be conducted separately for the system improvement (fairness, non-face-to-face) and content (new environment) categories.
Prizes will be awarded to one grand prize winner (1,000,000 KRW), four excellence award winners (500,000 KRW each), and twenty merit award winners (100,000 KRW each).
Since 2014, KEPCO has been continuously communicating with customers through the national proposal contest for electric power service improvement.
Through the contest, system improvements such as mobile easy payment for electricity bills and ARS convenience services for the elderly at customer centers have been implemented.
A KEPCO official stated, "The excellent customer proposals selected through this contest will be actively reflected when revising the basic supply terms and conditions, and will be utilized in various ways to enhance customer convenience, such as discovering customized services for customers."
KEPCO plans to engage in various communications, including meetings with consumer groups and operating university student supporters.
