[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Gongyoung Shopping announced on the 27th that it will advance the payment of 24 billion KRW in sales proceeds to 1,000 small and medium-sized partner companies in celebration of Chuseok.
The early payment of sales proceeds is being carried out as part of the 'Good Prepayment' initiative promoted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
Good Prepayment is a campaign designed to help small businesses facing a sales cliff due to COVID-19.
In June, Gongyoung Shopping also participated in the Good Prepayment campaign by advancing 100 million KRW in sales proceeds to partner companies and small business owners.
A Gongyoung Shopping official said, "This year, many small and medium-sized enterprises are experiencing difficulties due to the impact of COVID-19, so we decided to expedite the payment of sales proceeds ahead of Chuseok," adding, "As the only public TV home shopping channel, we will continue to actively implement support policies that promote mutual growth with our partners."
