200 Lotte Hotel Employees Participate
Bib Production Conducted Remotely
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Lotte Hotel announced on the 27th that it conducted the 'Stay Shiny, Making Bibs of Hope' project for children under protection who are in blind spots of care and children waiting for adoption.
This project is a participatory volunteer activity where Lotte Hotel employees sew eco-friendly fabric bibs for babies and donate sponsorship funds to children waiting for new families. The bib-making was carried out remotely at each participant's home. A total of 200 Lotte Hotel employees took part.
The sponsorship funds will be delivered to the Dongbang Social Welfare Society. Established in 1971, the Dongbang Social Welfare Society is a social welfare corporation that finds adoptive families for children who face difficulties growing up in their biological parents' care.
An employee who participated in the project said, "I am glad to be able to offer a small help to babies who desperately need attention and care," and added, "Through this volunteer activity, I will look back once more at the neighbors in need in the local community and participate more actively in events that help them."
Meanwhile, Lotte Hotel established the CSV team, a dedicated organization for social contribution activities this year, and is carrying out various projects to fulfill corporate social responsibility. Starting with the 'Stay Healthy' tomato cultivation farm win-win project in cooperation with Gangwon Provincial Government in June, in July, they conducted the social contribution activity 'Stay Warm, Making Succulent Plants for Mental Health Care' to overcome COVID-19 blues.
