[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Eun-young] Actress Kwon Min-ah (27), formerly of girl group AOA, has terminated her exclusive contract with her agency Woori Actors.

On the 26th, Woori Actors announced through their official SNS, "The contract between Woori Actors and actress Kwon Min-ah has ended," adding, "This decision reflects actress Kwon Min-ah's wish to have a freer status while taking a break."

They also stated, "If there are any necessary matters before she finds a new place and resumes activities, we will support her unconditionally," and expressed, "During the short period, we felt how much actress Kwon Min-ah is loved by her fans. We sincerely thank you."

Earlier, Kwon Min-ah informed her fan cafe about the contract termination with Woori Actors. She said, "The contract was terminated after my birthday (September 21)," and added, "There are many things I want to say and talk about now, but since I cannot say everything, please wait a little longer."

Previously, Kwon Min-ah left the group AOA in May last year and transitioned to acting. In July this year, she caused controversy by revealing that she had been bullied for 10 years by fellow group member Jimin during her time in AOA. She is currently receiving treatment and taking time to stabilize.
