BTS October Concert to Be Held Online Only... Offline Event Canceled

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] BTS has decided to hold their scheduled October concert exclusively online.

Big Hit Entertainment (hereafter Big Hit) posted an announcement titled 'BTS MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E Offline Concert Cancellation Notice' on their official SNS on the 25th, informing fans of the offline concert cancellation.

Big Hit stated that the BTS solo concert 'BTS MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E,' scheduled for two days on October 10 at 7 PM and the following day at 4 PM, will be live-streamed online.

Originally planned to be held both offline and online simultaneously, the concert will now proceed exclusively online due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation.

Big Hit explained, "Since the social distancing level was raised, restrictions related to gatherings, meetings, and events have been maintained, and there are no applicable separate guidelines, making offline performances practically impossible. Therefore, we intend to hold the main concert only online without an offline event. We sincerely apologize to the fans who have been eagerly anticipating the offline performance."

Due to the COVID-19 situation, we could not accommodate many spectators, but we planned this offline performance to provide an opportunity for the artists and fans to meet, even if only a little. Accordingly, we have been preparing to ensure that both artists and fans can enjoy the offline concert in a safe environment by strictly adhering to the guidelines set by health authorities. However, since the social distancing level was raised, restrictions related to gatherings, meetings, and events have been maintained, and there are no applicable separate guidelines, making offline performances practically impossible.
