[Special Stock] SV Investment Confirms ImmuneMed COVID-19 Treatment Reduces Virus by 93%

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] SV Investment is showing strength. It appears that the news of ImmuneMed presenting the treatment effects of HzVSF at the '138th 2020 Autumn Conference of the Korean Society for Microbiology' influenced the stock price.

At 1:51 PM on the 25th, SV Investment was trading at 4,260 KRW, up 14.82% from the previous day.

ImmuneMed disclosed clinical results and review details regarding the use of HzVSF for treating severe COVID-19 patients on its website.

ImmuneMed confirmed the potential of HzVSF, developed for human use based on the 'VSF (virus suppressing factor)' with antiviral and anti-inflammatory activity found in mice, as a treatment for COVID-19 in efficacy tests.

In cells treated with HzVSF, the virus was significantly reduced by 93%, showing efficacy similar to Remdesivir. HzVSF was administered to seven COVID-19 pneumonia patients. Clinical symptom improvement, reduced oxygen dependency, and virus reduction were observed in all treated patients.

Among the seven patients, four tested negative for the virus. One patient with metastatic lung cancer as an underlying condition passed away, but virus-related indicators improved. None of the seven patients experienced adverse symptoms related to HzVSF administration.

In male patients aged 81 and 29, levels of inflammatory cytokines were significantly reduced after HzVSF administration. Their body temperatures quickly normalized.

ImmuneMed confirmed the antiviral and anti-inflammatory efficacy of HzVSF and expects to verify its effectiveness in actual Phase 2 clinical trials.

Earlier, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety approved the use of ImmuneMed's VSF for COVID-19 treatment upon request by Seoul National University Hospital on the 21st of last month. Joint monitoring of drug effects and side effects is being conducted by Seoul National University Hospital, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, and ImmuneMed officials.

SV Investment is known to hold shares in ImmuneMed, and its stock price has been affected whenever news related to HzVSF emerges.
