TmaxSoft Co., Ltd. Signs Business Agreement and Holds Expert Invitation Meeting

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Haenam County is accelerating the promotion of Haenam-type New Deal projects in response to the Korean New Deal initiative.
According to Haenam County on the 25th, on the 24th, they signed a business agreement with TmaxSoft Co., Ltd. to promote the Haenam-type Digital New Deal project and held a roundtable meeting with invited experts.
At the business agreement ceremony held in the Haenam County Office situation room, Haenam County Governor Myeong Hyeon-gwan and TmaxSoft CEO Park Myeong-ae attended and promised mutual cooperation to support the digital New Deal project and establish an agricultural research complex to respond to climate change.
TmaxSoft is a company leading the digital-centered Korean New Deal era with products and solutions covering the three major system software (middleware, database, operating system) based on its own core technology, as well as AI and cloud, which are new growth engines of the 4th Industrial Revolution era.
Through the agreement, TmaxSoft will actively cooperate in policy consulting for the Haenam-type Digital New Deal and in building a big data center for the agricultural research complex responding to climate change, which Haenam County is promoting to attract.
After the agreement ceremony, a roundtable meeting with experts on the Haenam-type Digital New Deal project was held consecutively in the county office situation room. This was the second expert roundtable meeting following the Haenam County R&D capacity enhancement expert meeting held in August, with six digital experts from Jeollanam-do and related institutions attending.
The digital New Deal projects promoted by Haenam County total 39, and through discussions with experts, they shared know-how on project promotion and decided to continuously receive advisory support.
The roundtable meeting was attended by Oh Seong-tak, Director of the Intelligent Data Headquarters at the Korea Information Society Development Institute, which develops national informatization promotion policies. He explained the prospects and directions of digital New Deal policies, greatly helping to understand government guidelines.
Additionally, representatives from TmaxSoft, which signed the digital New Deal MOU with Haenam County, proposed new projects to be applied to the directly operated shopping mall Haenam Miso, providing time to discover new business opportunities.
Meanwhile, the Korean New Deal, promoted as a blueprint for the next 100 years of the Republic of Korea, aims to create 1.9 million jobs through direct investment of 114 trillion won by 2025, focusing on two pillars: Digital New Deal and Green New Deal.
Haenam County Governor Myeong Hyeon-gwan stated, “Haenam County is responding more proactively than any other local government to the government’s New Deal policy, having discovered a total of 71 projects and completed the second reporting session, actively promoting them. We expect that through the business agreement and continuous policy consultation, the Haenam-type Digital New Deal project will gain the momentum needed for successful implementation.”
