Dongwha Yakpum Releases 123rd Anniversary Edition of Hwalmyungsu

[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] Dongwha Pharmaceutical announced on the 25th that it has released a commemorative edition of Hwalmyungsu in collaboration with the stationery company 'Monami' to celebrate its 123rd anniversary.

The Hwalmyungsu 123rd anniversary commemorative edition is said to be inspired by the hexagonal shape of Monami's 153 ballpoint pen. The bottle label utilizes Monami's representative colors of black and white. The packaging holding the Hwalmyungsu bottle is designed to look as if holding a pen.

The Hwalmyungsu 123rd anniversary commemorative edition is a large 450ml product available for purchase at pharmacies. All proceeds from sales will be donated to social contribution activities.

A Dongwha Pharmaceutical official stated, "The meeting between Dongwha Pharmaceutical, which developed Korea's first Western medicine Hwalmyungsu, and Monami, which launched the country's first ballpoint pen, has symbolic meaning," adding, "Dongwha Pharmaceutical will continue steady communication with the public through fresh collaborations."
