Timon Expands Support for Live Commerce Individual Broadcasters

Additional Broadcasting Opportunities Provided to Outstanding Performance Partners

Timon Expands Support for Live Commerce Individual Broadcasters

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] TMON (CEO Lee Jin-won) announced on the 25th that it will expand support to activate individual seller broadcasts by providing an additional one-time broadcast benefit for outstanding partners and applying a multi-channel user interface (UI).

In April, TMON launched 'TMON Select,' a live commerce app exclusively for sellers, enabling partners to conduct real-time sales broadcasts without the help of show hosts or separate broadcasting equipment. Subsequently, it has been supporting sellers by exposing their broadcasts on the top of the mobile app and PC web for a small fee to secure viewers.

Starting in September, TMON has been providing an additional one-time broadcast opportunity to partners who achieve a certain level of performance during their broadcasts to motivate individual seller broadcasts. This is a measure to encourage partners to actively improve the quality of their products and broadcasts. A TMON official explained, "The purpose is to induce a meticulous approach to sales broadcasts by offering additional opportunities that can generate sales synergy for outstanding partners," adding, "In fact, about 43% of partners conducting individual seller broadcasts in September received the additional broadcast benefit."

As demand for individual seller broadcasts increased, changes were also made in terms of UI. Recently, through the live commerce web entertainment show 'Showtreat Fighter,' TMON introduced a 'multi-channel UI' on the recommendation tab of the mobile app's initial screen. This supports the top exposure of TVON broadcasts occurring simultaneously to ensure attention to multiple seller broadcast partners. Additionally, the multi-channel UI laid the foundation for planning various broadcast configurations such as competition and linked broadcasts among simultaneous sales broadcasts.

A TMON official stated, "This policy change and UI application will lead to high-quality individual seller broadcasts while providing stable attention to sales broadcasts," and added, "Going forward, TMON will continue strategies to revitalize live commerce and promote individual seller broadcasts."
