[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] Kyungbang announced on the 24th that it will acquire additional shares of Hanjin, a company engaged in transportation and courier services.
Including the existing 889,188 shares of Hanjin held, Kyungbang plans to acquire a total of 964,000 shares (8.05%). The total amount is approximately 38 billion KRW. The company stated, "We decided to acquire the securities to generate investment returns," and explained, "The number of shares acquired may vary in the future depending on the stock price and company circumstances within the above acquisition amount."
