On the same day, Ha said on Facebook, "The act North Korea committed against the missing public official is no less than that of the terrorist group IS."

Ha said, "President Moon proposed a declaration to end the war and inter-Korean health cooperation to North Korea in his UN General Assembly speech. It is outrageous and heartbreaking," adding, "Our citizen was shot and killed, and the body was burned, yet he courts North Korea. Does that make any sense? He turned a blind eye to North Korean human rights and now even ignores the lives of our citizens," he pointed out.

Ha stated, "What President Moon should have said in his UN speech was not an empty declaration to end the war. He should have strongly condemned North Korea's human rights abuses and the murder of our citizen and declared corresponding countermeasures," adding, "If he has no will to protect the people, he has no qualifications as president."
