Lee Hyeongcheol, Head of Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters, Visits Pyeongtaek Tongbuk Market Ahead of Chuseok Holiday

[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Lee Hyeong-cheol, head of the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters, visited Pyeongtaek Tongbok Market on the 24th ahead of Chuseok.

On this day, Lee toured various parts of the market with Im Gyeong-seop, president of the Tongbok Market Merchants' Association, and Oh Se-jong, captain of the Tongbok-dong Volunteer Fire Brigade, urging them to do their best to prevent fires during the Chuseok holiday.

He also encouraged market merchants who are facing difficulties due to reduced consumer sentiment amid the spread of COVID-19.

Lee donated 30 fire extinguishers to the market merchants' association.

Lee Hyeong-cheol, head of the Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters, emphasized, "Interest and practice in fire preparedness are more important than anything else," adding, "Gyeonggi Fire will do its best, including strengthening surveillance activities, so that residents can spend a safe and comfortable Chuseok holiday."
