Daehan Electric Wire Wins Contract for Medical Infrastructure Project with Mongolia Ministry of Health

[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Daehan Electric Wire announced on the 24th that it has won the contract for the ‘Health Information Exchange Platform Construction Project’ from the Ministry of Health (MOH) of Mongolia.

This project is part of the ‘e-health project,’ which introduces advanced medical systems based on information and communication technology (ICT) to improve Mongolia’s healthcare environment.

Daehan Electric Wire will build a platform to share patient medical information with five specialized medical institutions designated by the Mongolian Ministry of Health. Bit Computer, a smart medical specialist company, will also participate in the project.

This project is an official development assistance (ODA) project funded by the World Bank, and Daehan Electric Wire emphasized the significance of winning the World Bank’s project for the first time.

Since the World Bank is the most active international organization conducting ODA projects for the economic development of developing countries, it is expected that additional project contracts will be possible through the stable execution of this project.

In particular, Daehan Electric Wire has experience successfully building a full range of communication solutions such as hospital information and telemedicine systems at NDTC, Mongolia’s first diagnostic hospital, last year, raising expectations for further participation in the expanding medical infrastructure sector.

A Daehan Electric Wire official said, “We are expanding our competitiveness not only in power and communication technology but also in various infrastructure development projects including the medical field. Based on this achievement, we will actively participate in international organizations’ ODA projects to create opportunities that can generate synergy with our core business in the electric wire industry.”
