[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Traders announced on the 24th that they will launch their private label (PL) brand 'T Standard' in line with the opening of the Anseong branch on the 25th, simultaneously releasing about 10 'T Standard' products including frozen foods, snacks, and yoga mats.
'T Standard' is Traders' next-generation private label succeeding the existing private brand 'Traders Deal.' 'T Standard' means 'the standard for product selection made by Traders.' It embodies the commitment to develop products with definite value that customers can add to their shopping carts without hesitation by leveraging Traders' capabilities.
Traders plans to develop and operate various category products covering lifestyle items such as daily necessities and trendy products under 'T Standard.' Existing private label products will be sequentially renewed as 'T Standard.'
'T Standard' is characterized by focusing on the main attributes of products to enhance quality. This includes increasing or newly adding key raw materials and strengthening product convenience and other functions. Additionally, Traders secures price competitiveness through large-volume operations unique to Traders, low-margin policies, and bulk purchasing, enabling smart consumption.
Products developed with a focus on key raw materials include 'Tong Mozza Cheese Donkatsu' (11,980 KRW) and 'Double Cheese Ball' (6,980 KRW). A representative product with enhanced convenience is the 'TPE Wide Yoga Mat' (27,980 KRW), which is larger and thicker than regular yoga mats, allowing beginners to do home training without difficulty. Environmentally friendly products are also launched. 'Honey Chamomile Tea' (9,980 KRW) uses a biodegradable filter bag made by microorganisms instead of plastic tea bags.
The reason Traders launched 'T Standard' is to strengthen the competitiveness of Traders' products by developing high-quality products that concentrate Traders' capabilities. Like existing private label products such as water (My Water) and milk, which rank first and second in sales among all Traders products (excluding fresh foods) every year, they aim to continuously introduce products that customers can trust and choose, thereby increasing customer satisfaction.
Meanwhile, Traders will open its 19th store in Anseong City on the 25th. Traders Anseong branch will be located on the basement 1st and 2nd floors of 'Starfield Anseong' in Gongdo-eup, Anseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, covering an area of 9,724㎡ (2,941 pyeong). By opening Traders Anseong branch before Starfield Anseong's grand opening, it aims to enhance customers' convenience in preparing for Chuseok and reduce congestion on the grand opening day. Starfield Anseong will have a pre-opening on October 5 and a grand opening on October 7.
To realize a 'safe store,' Traders Anseong branch will conduct daily disinfection by a professional company starting from the 25th, install thermal imaging cameras at entrances, and place hand sanitizers at 16 locations inside the store.
To commemorate the opening, Traders Anseong branch has prepared promotions such as an exclusive launch event and Samsung Card linked discount events from the 25th to the 6th of next month. First, as an exclusive launch event for the Anseong branch, they will release the 75-inch ultra-large PL TV 'THE UHD TV 75' for the first time and sell a limited quantity of 500 units at a price in the low 1 million KRW range. Also, the famous American Napa Valley wine 'Opus One 16,' whose price rises every year due to increased demand, will be sold in a limited quantity of 51 bottles at 688,000 KRW. The best-selling two-bottle wine at Traders, 'Two Bottle Chardonnay,' will be launched and sold at 9,980 KRW when purchasing two bottles.
Along with this, when paying with Samsung Card, 'U.S. frozen LA-style flower ribs' and 'Downy April Fresh' will each be discounted by 5,000 KRW, priced at 59,800 KRW and 9,980 KRW respectively, and all premium padding and luxury bags will be sold at a 10% discount.
