[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] LG Electronics has unveiled three practical smartphones in the K series, featuring large screens, rear quad cameras, and large-capacity batteries.
On the 24th, LG Electronics announced that the K62, K52, and K42 will be sequentially released starting next month in Europe, followed by Latin America, the Middle East & Africa, and Asia.
Affordable Price, Premium-Level Design
The three K series models adopt a practical yet premium smartphone-level design at an affordable price.
The K62 and K52 feature optical patterns and matte materials that resist fingerprints, applied in premium phones like the LG Velvet. The colors vary vividly depending on the amount of light and type of illumination. The K42 applies an advanced wave pattern, creating fine textures that prevent slipping and provide a comfortable grip. A scratch-resistant UV coating enhances practicality by maintaining the original appearance even after prolonged use.
Considering the growing trend of consumers enjoying videos, all three models come with a 6.6-inch display. The front cameras use a punch-hole design to minimize the camera's occupied area, and bezel thickness has been reduced. To enhance screen immersion, a 20:9 cinematic aspect ratio is implemented. AI sound technology automatically analyzes content audio and adjusts to optimal sound quality, especially useful for enjoying movies, games, and other content.
Premium-Level Quad Cameras and Large-Capacity Battery
All three K series models are equipped with four rear lenses: standard, ultra-wide, depth, and macro cameras. The K62 and K52 feature a 48-megapixel standard lens, delivering camera performance comparable to premium smartphones. The K42 is equipped with a 13-megapixel main camera. Additionally, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide, 2-megapixel depth, and 2-megapixel macro camera are identically installed on all three models. The front cameras are ▲K62 28 megapixels ▲K52 13 megapixels ▲K42 8 megapixels.
Fun shooting features such as AI camera and flash jump cut are also included. The AI camera automatically recognizes objects and recommends optimal image quality. The flash jump cut signals the moment the flash fires during a jump. It takes four consecutive photos to capture various jump cuts. The built-in YouTube Live feature allows users to instantly share their appearance anytime, anywhere.
All K series models have a battery capacity of 4000mAh. RAM is 4GB for the K62 and K52, and 3GB for the K42. They have passed the U.S. Department of Defense military standard ‘Military Spec,’ ensuring durability. Military Spec means the device has sufficient durability for military operations, tested against low and high temperatures, thermal shock, humidity, shock, vibration, and more.
