Jeonnam Fire Department Conducts 'On-site Safety Guidance' for Fire-Vulnerable Sites in the Province

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Fire Department has stepped up to ensure a safe and peaceful Chuseok holiday.

Jeonnam Fire Headquarters (Chief Ma Jaeyoon) announced on the 23rd that they visited fire-vulnerable sites in the province to conduct on-site safety guidance.

They visited Hampyeong 5-day Market and Yongcheon Temple to inspect fire prevention facilities and promote voluntary safety management among related personnel.

They checked the fire facilities within the market and urged merchants to do their best in fire safety management. They also visited Yongcheon Temple, a provincial-designated cultural asset, to inspect the progress of safety measures for the cultural asset, including fire truck access routes.

During the holiday period, Jeonnam Fire Headquarters plans to focus on visiting locations with high foot traffic and a high risk of casualties in case of fire, continuously conducting on-site guidance for fire prevention.

Chief Ma Jaeyoon said, “To reduce fire casualties, it is most important for related personnel to establish initial response capabilities and safety awareness,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to strengthen initial response capabilities through consulting, improve fire facilities, and establish fire prevention awareness.”
