One-on-One Customized Consulting for FTA-Utilizing Companies Also Promoted at Cupid Center

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] Changwon City in Gyeongnam announced on the 23rd that it will simultaneously promote trade support projects to strengthen the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the region and increase export performance.
First, to enhance performance, from the 21st to the 23rd, the city held the 'Changwon-India Bengaluru Online Export Consultation' at the Changwon Convention Center. On this day, 25 companies in the defense industry, automobile, and machinery sectors and 50 buyers from Bengaluru, India, were invited to an online platform for one-on-one business consultations.
According to the city, with a target export consultation amount of 50 billion KRW through this consultation, participating companies were thoroughly prepared by conducting prior buyer research and sending introduction materials. To strengthen the export competitiveness of local SMEs and expand the foundation for utilizing FTAs, from the 23rd to the 25th, a 'Customized FTA Utilization Consulting for Companies' involving 12 local SMEs will be held at the Cupid Center within the Changwon Convention Center.
Based on this consulting, the city will provide opportunities to resolve companies' difficulties through one-on-one consultations with customs brokers and export specialists and to supplement existing export strategies in preparation for the post-COVID era.
The main consultation areas are divided according to the export process: ▲ market entry including market research, client discovery, and utilization of export support systems ▲ export initiation including FTA utilization strategies, transportation contracts, and insurance ▲ post-management including customs refunds, claim resolution, and overseas branch establishment.
Park Jin-yeol, Director of the Economic and Employment Bureau, said, "Through the targeted video export consultation meeting being promoted this time, we are supporting increasing export performance by pioneering the huge Indian market and enhancing the export competitiveness of local companies through customized consulting."
