NH Nonghyup Bank Gwangju Headquarters Delivers Scholarship Funds to Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education for Chuseok

According to the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education on the 23rd, NH Nonghyup Bank Gwangju Business Headquarters’ sponsorship of the ‘Chuseok Holiday Care Neighbor Scholarship’ was carried out as part of the ‘The Happy Companion’ project.

The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education decided to provide scholarships to 77 low-income and vulnerable students from elementary, middle, and special schools within the jurisdiction, recommended through intensive case management of schools prioritized for educational welfare support projects.

‘The Happy Companion’ is a key educational welfare project of the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education that supports low-income and culturally marginalized students by receiving sponsorships from private institutions (organizations) through cooperation with the local community.

Ahn Seok, the Citizen Participation Officer of the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education, said, “We are grateful to our local institutions and organizations participating in ‘The Happy Companion’ project supporting vulnerable students amid the difficult local economy due to COVID-19,” and added, “We hope that the ‘Chuseok Holiday Care Neighbor Scholarship’ support project, which was promoted to help our students have a healthy school life, will contribute even a little to creating a social atmosphere of sharing and living together.”
