[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] On the 24th, the Blue House expressed difficulty in confirming foreign media reports that President Moon Jae-in and Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga would hold their first 'phone summit.'

A senior Blue House official told reporters on the 23rd, "It is difficult to confirm the report of the Korea-Japan summit call. The timing of the call between the leaders is hard to disclose in advance," asking for understanding.

Earlier, Japan's private broadcaster Fuji News Network (FNN) reported that President Moon and Prime Minister Suga were coordinating to hold their first phone summit on the 24th.
