Gwangju University Hosts Special Lecture on Job and Company Analysis for Mid-sized Enterprises

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju University (President Kim Hyuk-jong) University Job Center announced on the 23rd that it held a special lecture on ‘Job and Company Analysis’ for students seeking employment in mid-sized companies.


CEO Song Young-woong of HR Research Institute Co., Ltd. served as the instructor for this special lecture, which was designed to help successful employment through ▲ understanding various job roles in companies ▲ discovering competencies such as job knowledge, skills, and attitudes through case studies ▲ and utilizing various websites.


Gwangju University’s University Job Center operates various employment support programs including on-site practical training, and achieved high employment indicators such as ranking first in the ‘Da’ group for employment rate among four-year private universities in the Gwangju area based on 2019 information disclosure standards.


In particular, it achieved the remarkable feat of being selected as a ‘University Strong in Employment’ among 224 four-year universities nationwide in the ‘2019 Youth Dream University’ evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and others.


It received the second highest score among 12 newly entered universities nationwide and ranked first in the Honam region.


Yoon Hong-sang, head of Gwangju University’s University Job Center, said, “Gwangju University conducts early career guidance considering aptitude and major from the lower grades through differentiated strategies from other universities,” adding, “We will actively support students’ successful employment by establishing a systematic system such as customized support by grade and career roadmap by major.”
