Cheongam University Signs Business Agreement with Webtoon Specialist Platform Mr. Blue Co., Ltd.

Bluecomics Co., Ltd. Signs Employment Agreement with Webtoon Content and Computer Information Departments

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon Cheongam University (President Seo Hyung-won) announced on the 23rd that, as part of this year's specialized college innovation support project, on the 22nd, a business agreement was signed to foster practical field-oriented talent at the large conference room on the first floor of Cheongam Hall, attended by President Seo Hyung-won, Mr. Blue Co., Ltd. CEO Cho Seung-jin, Blue Comics Co., Ltd. CEO Park Jong-gil, and about 10 related personnel.

Accordingly, the two institutions agreed to cooperate on ▲establishing and supporting employment infrastructure such as developing and operating curricula and textbooks tailored to industry demand, career special lectures, field experience learning cooperation, and discovering industries ▲collaboration on joint use of experimental and practical equipment ▲mutual participation in extracurricular programs and lecture exchanges ▲cooperation and related matters regarding joint development and operation of field training, career guidance, and employment/startup programs.

President Seo Hyung-won stated, “By forming a partnership with Mr. Blue, we will cooperate to build the infrastructure of the Webtoon Content Department and are confident that it will contribute to the local community’s webtoon cultural industry.”

Mr. Cho Seung-jin, CEO of Mr. Blue Co., Ltd., said, “Mr. Blue was established in 2002 and is the first company in the webtoon market to be listed on KOSDAQ, continuing to grow. We hope to cooperate with Cheongam University through industry-academia collaboration to nurture innovative and skilled writers.”

Meanwhile, Blue Comics Co., Ltd., the webtoon production team of the specialized comic and webtoon platform Mr. Blue Co., Ltd., moved into the second floor of Cheongam University’s Health and Welfare Center this month and plans to sign an employment agreement with the newly established Webtoon Content Department and Computer Information Department at Cheongam University starting next year, jointly developing curricula and operating an employment linkage system.

The Industry-Academia Cooperation Office at Cheongam University plans to work closely with Mr. Blue in the future to actively challenge government policy projects and operate so that both institutions can mutually develop.
