McDonald's has introduced various 'sub-character' menus through the classic chicken burger 'McChicken,' which has consistently been popular for its mild flavor. The 'Italian Sensibility Sub-character,' featuring a generous combination of spicy Arrabbiata sauce and savory golden mozzarella cheese sticks, known as 'McChicken Mozzarella,' was incorporated into the regular menu in January this year thanks to its great popularity.
The newly released 'Cajun McChicken' is a new 'sub-character' menu with spicy Cajun sauce added to the 'McChicken.' The 'Cajun McChicken' is characterized by the crispy and savory soft chicken patty and the spicy Cajun sauce blending together with a tangy finish when bitten into.
To announce the birth of the new McChicken sub-character, McDonald's selected Oh My Girl's Seunghee as the advertising model. Seunghee will express her impressions of tasting the Cajun McChicken with her unique chicken clucking imitation and witty, vivid facial expressions, highlighting the surprising charm of the Cajun McChicken.
A McDonald's representative stated, "McChicken is a menu that Korean chicken lovers consistently seek out, and we expect the new Cajun McChicken, which adds a twist with Cajun sauce and offers a soft yet tangy finish, to receive great love as well."
The Cajun McChicken is available as a single item for 3,300 won and as a set for 4,500 won, and will be sold for a limited time until October 21.
