[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] The Imsil County Branch of the Korea Pork Producers Association (President Kim Seongdu) donated 1,000kg of pork to Imsil County to be distributed to underprivileged groups and others in celebration of the Chuseok holiday.
The donated pork will be delivered to 314 vulnerable households and 9 social welfare facilities within the county.
President Kim Seongdu stated, “I hope this can be of some help to the residents during these difficult times, and that everyone has a warm Chuseok holiday.”
County Governor Shim Min said, “With the prolonged COVID-19 situation, pork farmers must be facing many challenges, so I am grateful for this meaningful gesture of support during the holiday season.”
Meanwhile, the Imsil County Branch of the Korea Pork Producers Association has been setting an example for the local community by practicing sharing and good deeds, donating pork annually during holidays and year-end seasons since 2014, including in April this year to help overcome COVID-19.
