Two Social Enterprises and Seven Village Enterprises Open Stores to Sell Produced Products
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeongeup City announced on the 22nd that it has officially started operating a local food sales store for products produced by social economy enterprises (social enterprises, village enterprises) in the Happy Housing commercial area within the Advanced Science Industrial Complex.
The local food sales store houses a total of nine companies, including two social enterprises: ▲Alkoldalkong Store ▲Duson Food, and seven village enterprises: ▲Ssikssikhan Kongnamul ▲Kongsarang ▲Daeheung-ri Village Community ▲Haearam ▲Dajeongin ▲Jayeonga ▲Damoiyagi.
Previously, Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) promised a 20-year free lease for spaces and their auxiliary facilities for social economy enterprises within the Jeongeup Advanced Happy Housing Complex, completed in 2019.
The city remodeled the free leased space into a social economy enterprise local food sales store with an area of 82.95㎡, investing 20 million won to utilize the space efficiently.
The sales store displays and sells products directly produced by each company and plans to attract customers through various discount events.
A city official stated, “We expect that the social economy enterprise local food sales store will help companies facing management difficulties due to COVID-19 by opening new sales channels, aiding their business operations,” and added, “We will continue to strive to revitalize social economy enterprises.”
