[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] SAMPYO Group, a specialized company in basic construction materials, held a special concrete performance demonstration on the 21st at the SAMPYO Technology Research Center in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province, with about 30 employees and construction company officials in attendance.
This special concrete performance demonstration was organized to verify the performance of the cold-resistant concrete 'BLUECON WINTER' and the early-strength product 'BLUECON SPEED.'
At the demonstration, mix tests tailored to the performance required by customers on-site were conducted, using frozen aggregates and cold water to simulate winter construction conditions.
BLUECON WINTER, tested for performance that day, is a cold-resistant concrete that does not freeze even at minus 10℃ and can be poured without separate heating. BLUECON SPEED achieves the compressive strength required for formwork removal early, thereby shortening the construction period. Thanks to this, 'customized performance design' tailored to the performance required by construction sites is possible.
A construction company official who participated in the demonstration said, "We had significant concerns about schedule pressure and safety accident prevention due to the 8.5 system and Saturday holidays, but BLUECON WINTER and SPEED are customized products that can solve both issues," adding, "We look forward to continuously introducing special concretes that can alleviate difficulties at construction sites."
Lee Seok-hong, Vice President of SAMPYO Group R&D Innovation Center, stated, "Our efforts to address difficulties in construction site operations led to the creation of SAMPYO Group's special concrete," and added, "We will continue to integrate research and development (R&D), sales, and quality to communicate constantly with customers and introduce products that meet the needs of construction sites."
