To this end, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups plans to shorten the time required for issuing disaster confirmation certificates, applying for funds, and disbursing emergency management stabilization funds to affected merchants as much as possible. They will closely coordinate with the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Dongdaemun-gu for the restoration of damaged facilities.

Minister Park said, "Following the summer floods, this fire has caused significant damage to traditional markets. To create fire-safe traditional markets during the winter season, we will conduct fire safety inspections nationwide at traditional markets." She added, "Government support has its limits, so traditional markets should also conduct their own safety inspections to prepare for any unforeseen disasters and establish self-help measures such as fire mutual aid and wind and flood insurance."
