[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] The online video service (OTT) Wave is showcasing nostalgic classic movies such as '007 James Bond,' 'Rocky,' and 'RoboCop,' as well as popular films like the 'Hobbit' series.
On the 22nd, Wave announced that it will offer classic films from major Hollywood studio MGM through a monthly subscription service. The 007 series available on Wave includes a total of 24 films, from the first installment, Dr. No (1962), to Spectre (2015), along with one spin-off. The Rocky and RoboCop series, as well as the fantasy film Hobbit series, will also be available.
Wave's paid subscribers can watch over 6,000 Wave movies without additional payment, alongside broadcast and overseas series content. Kim Hong-gi, head of the Content Wave Business Planning Group, said, "We hope users will have time to share memories while watching classic films."
