600 Million Won Worth of Purchased Agricultural and Marine Products Delivered as Packages to Underprivileged Groups
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Dong-wook] Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters held a traditional market shopping event at Heungbu Market in Buk-myeon on the 21st, ahead of Chuseok, together with local residents and social organizations.
Hanul Headquarters plans to package approximately 6 million KRW worth of agricultural and marine products purchased that day and deliver them to about 200 underprivileged people in the Buk-myeon area of Uljin-gun, near the headquarters.
Along with the shopping event, Hanul Headquarters conducted an anti-corruption and integrity campaign in cooperation with the Buk-myeon Office and the Buk-myeon Development Council. High-ranking executives of Hanul Headquarters, including Director Lee Jong-ho, and participants handed out leaflets on the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act and integrity souvenirs with stickers providing information on the Corruption and Public Interest Reporting Center to local residents visiting Heungbu Market, leading efforts to spread a culture of integrity in the private sector.
Director Lee Jong-ho said, "I hope the shopping event prepared for the holiday will contribute even a little to revitalizing traditional markets and spreading a culture of sharing. Furthermore, I hope the anti-corruption and integrity campaign will be an opportunity for the headquarters and the local community to reconsider integrity together."
Meanwhile, Hanul Headquarters will hold a traditional market shopping event at Bajige Market in Uljin-eup on the 25th, and on the 28th, an agricultural and marine products sales market will be held at the welfare center within the company housing.
