Shinwon Expands into Online Select Shop... Opens 'Show Window'

[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Shinwon (CEO Park Jung-joo) announced on the 21st that it has launched the comprehensive fashion commerce platform 'Showindow.' Showindow operates as a curated mall where third-party brands can also join, replacing the previously operated in-house mall 'Shinwon Mall.'

Showindow aims to be a personalized style curation space where anyone can enjoy fashion happily, with the slogan 'Show your style.' It targets mainly the young 20s and 30s demographic while offering a wide range of brands and items that can cover up to the 40s generation.

Showindow features a specialized screen layout and content. It actively reflects consumer needs in the mall configuration and proposes customized products for each customer using the latest hashtag-based algorithm. The main screen is divided into the ‘#OOTD’ section and the ‘#Store’ section, separating the area for enjoying content from the area for sales.

The ‘#OOTD’ section operates as a daily look communication space for customers. Customized products reflecting each customer's unique taste, sensibility, and needs based on the hashtags set by customers are displayed in a feed format. Based on this, customers can enjoy a natural user experience similar to browsing social networking services (SNS).

The ‘#Store’ section is a shopping area tailored to various settings, including customers' hashtags. Through brand picks displayed within the section, customers can check seller-recommended personalized styles, and through Now Deals, they can also find time-sale products available for a limited period and quantity.

The Special tab offers content such as collaborations conducted by participating brands. Additionally, it provides a ‘Magazine’ tab for weekly communication with customers in a small magazine format and a Top Seller feature where customers can find the best products from brands.

Furthermore, a Real Fit feature providing model cuts as vivid videos is planned to be added in the future. Through a funding feature, the production process and history of new products will be introduced, and content releasing special-priced items by setting target amounts will also be launched.

Shinwon plans to strengthen its online business through the launch of Showindow. It aims to increase online channel sales, which were about 20 billion KRW last year through the existing Shinwon Mall and external affiliate malls, to 30 billion KRW in 2021 and 40 billion KRW in 2022.

Shin Yoo-chul, head of the e-Biz Division overseeing Showindow, said, “Showindow aims to be a shopping platform where you can easily and quickly explore the latest fashion trends, just like exploring various styles along a fashion street’s ‘show window.’ We will continuously update exclusive products, content, and online shopping convenience.”
