Andong-si, Water Supply Pipeline Zoned into Blocks... Regional Water Shutoffs by End of December

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Andong City announced on the 20th that, in cooperation with K-water Andong Modernization Office, a step-by-step water supply network verification test will be conducted until December, resulting in water outages in different eup, myeon, and dong areas.

This water outage is part of Andong City's local water supply modernization project, aimed at establishing a block system for the entire water supply area of Andong City.

The water outages will be scheduled during specific daytime and nighttime hours from the 21st to December 3rd in the dong areas and eup/myeon areas (Pungsan-eup, Bukhu-myeon, Waryong-myeon, Seohu-myeon, Yean-myeon, Dosan-myeon, Nokjeon-myeon).

Through the water supply network verification work, Andong City’s distribution and supply network will be divided into 2 large blocks, 18 medium blocks, and 54 small blocks, enabling rapid and accurate response to complaints such as water outages and leaks by block, which is expected to greatly improve trust in water supply administration and customer satisfaction, according to Andong City.

Meanwhile, Andong City signed a consignment agreement with K-water in September last year for the 'Andong City Local Water Supply Modernization Project' and will invest 33 billion KRW over five years from this year to 2024 to renovate aging water pipes throughout Andong City and establish block and maintenance management systems.
