[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Ju-hee] Webtoon artist Kian84 (Kim Hee-min), who returned to 'I Live Alone' after a month, once again apologized for the 'misogyny controversy.'
On the 18th, Kian84 appeared on MBC's entertainment program 'I Live Alone' and said, "I am sorry for causing concern to the members and viewers."
Previously, Kian84 sparked a misogyny controversy by depicting the female protagonist in episode 304 of his webtoon 'Return to Campus,' serialized on Naver, as having an inappropriate relationship with a male boss and seemingly entering the company through that connection.
Comedian Park Na-rae, who appeared on the show that day, greeted Kian84 by saying, "It's been a while," and to actor Lee Si-eon, she said, "Why can't you make eye contact with (Kian84)? You two are very close, but today..." To this, Lee Si-eon replied, "I don't know how to treat Kian. If I talk carelessly, we might get into trouble again."
Kian84 said, "Actually... living is really... life is very..." and struggled to open up easily.
He said, "I still have a lot of shortcomings. I wondered if I could ever become perfect before I die," and apologized again, saying, "I am sorry for causing concern to the members and viewers. I am truly sorry."
He then expressed his feelings about returning, saying, "It's so good to be back after a long time."
Former professional golfer Park Se-ri comforted him, saying, "People learn from birth until they die, so think of it as learning again and do well," to which Kian84 responded, "You are the first person to say something warm to me."
