[Asia Economy, Intern Reporter Kim Bongju] Singer Song Haye has denied allegations that she was targeting Park Kyung.
Previously, on September 10, Song Haye posted on Instagram, "As expected, justice will prevail. Look forward to my first mini album."
The phrase "justice will prevail" (Saphilguijeong) used by Song Haye is a four-character idiom meaning, "No matter what happens, things will ultimately return to the right path. You reap what you sow."
Some netizens claimed that Song Haye's post was aimed at Park Kyung.
Earlier, Park Kyung had mentioned the real names of six artists (Vibe, Song Haye, Lim Jaehyun, Jeon Sanggeun, Jang Deokcheol, and Hwang Inwook) on his social media, raising suspicions that they were involved in chart manipulation. As a result, he was sued for defamation by the mentioned artists.
Subsequently, on September 11, the Seoul Eastern District Court issued a summary order for a fine of 5 million won against Park Kyung, who was summarily indicted for violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation).
Although Song Haye's post was made before the summary order against Park Kyung was issued, netizens criticized the timing, saying it was suspicious, which led to controversy.
In response, Song Haye's side stated on September 18, "The post simply expressed how Song Haye was feeling at the time. It was absolutely not aimed at Park Kyung."
