Lee Jae-myung: "If I am a populist, then 'Gukmin-ui Him' is a colossal fraud group"

[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Lee Jae-myung, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, launched a direct attack on the opposition party 'People Power Party' (formerly the United Future Party), calling it an unprecedented fraud group.

On the 18th, Lee posted on Facebook, "If Lee Jae-myung is an unprecedented populist, then the People Power Party is an unprecedented fraud group," strongly criticizing, "The People Power Party slandered me as an unprecedented populist for defending local currency that converts a portion of sales from distribution conglomerates and card companies dominating neighborhood markets into sales for small business owners, thereby revitalizing the local and regional economy."

He continued, "If Lee Jae-myung is an unprecedented populist, then the People Power Party, which adopted a more progressive basic income as its primary policy but turned it into a fake basic income paid only to lower-income earners, is an unprecedented fraud group," launching a fierce attack.

Lee especially added, "'What can't be said during elections? If all election pledges are kept, the country will collapse,' they say such shameful things, and even after stealing votes by advocating basic pensions for all citizens aged 65 and over without a single apology, paying only the lower-income class, they are a fraud group beyond populists."

He then lamented, "No matter how much they disguise themselves as rational conservatives, it seems the corrupt and reactionary DNA of betraying the people with double standards (romance if I do it, immorality if others do it) cannot be hidden."
