The 3rd Korea New Deal Legal and Institutional Reform Meeting
[Asia Economy Reporter Joo Sang-don] On the afternoon of the 18th, the business community, the Democratic Party of Korea, and the government held the 3rd Korean New Deal Legal and Institutional Reform Meeting in the conference room of the Korea Federation of SMEs.
The Legal and Institutional Reform Meeting is a private-party-government collaborative organization established under the 'Korean New Deal Party-Government Promotion Headquarters.' Woo Tae-hee, Vice Chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Yoo Dong-soo, Senior Deputy Chairman of the Policy Committee of the Democratic Party of Korea, and Kim Yong-beom, 1st Vice Minister of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, serve as co-chairs.
Today's meeting discussed six agenda items: ▲ Current status and promotion plans for digital-related regulatory improvements ▲ Measures to foster non-face-to-face small and venture businesses ▲ Green New Deal research and development (R&D) strategy and future plans ▲ Identification of legal and institutional improvement tasks (Democratic Party of Korea) ▲ Proposals for legal and institutional innovation tasks (Venture Business Association) ▲ Korean New Deal legal and institutional reform and legislative promotion plans.
At the meeting, discussions were held among companies, economic organizations, the party, and related government ministries on topics including digital-related regulatory improvements, fostering non-face-to-face small and venture businesses, and Green New Deal R&D strategies, and it was decided to prepare improvement plans reflecting the discussion results.
Regarding the more than 170 improvement tasks identified so far through the Legal and Institutional Reform Meeting by the party, business community, and government, it was decided to finalize and announce them after consultations with related agencies and discussions at the New Deal Party-Government Promotion Headquarters.
