[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Jiwon] The Korea Housing Construction Association announced that as part of its social contribution activities, it held a donation ceremony for social welfare facilities in 13 regions nationwide, including the child care facility 'Sionwon' located in Dongjak-gu, Seoul, on the 18th.

The association delivered 45 million KRW in donations and sponsorship goods worth 1.6 million KRW to social welfare facilities such as child care centers and senior welfare centers through the central association and 12 city and provincial chapters.

Park Jaehong, the association president, said, "We will continue to fulfill our social responsibilities as a public organization by promoting donations and volunteer activities for vulnerable groups."

Every year before the Chuseok holiday, the association visits social welfare facilities such as child care centers to help marginalized and disadvantaged neighbors by conducting love-sharing volunteer activities and delivering sponsorship goods or donations.

However, this year, due to concerns over the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), volunteer activities were not conducted, and only the donation and sponsorship goods delivery ceremony was held.
