Decision to Implement COVID-19 Response Manual and Inspect Duty During Chuseok Holiday
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Hong Jeonghwan] The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education will conduct an 'emergency bundling audit' starting from the 21st targeting all elementary, middle, and high schools in the district to check the implementation status of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) response manual and the Chuseok duty discipline.
The 'bundling audit' refers to an audit aimed at achieving two or more objectives in a single audit.
The term is derived from the economic term 'bundling,' which means selling multiple products together at a single price.
This audit will simultaneously conduct a 'status check' on the implementation of the COVID-19 response manual according to social distancing level 2 and a 'duty check' to prevent public officials' disciplinary lapses before Chuseok.
In particular, considering the serious situation of the COVID-19 resurgence, the audit will focus on cracking down on disciplinary lapses that damage the dignity of public officials, such as group drinking parties, unauthorized absence from the workplace, early leaving, and virtual currency or stock trading during working hours.
Lee Chawon, Auditor of the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education, said, "This is a serious situation that requires the establishment of public service discipline more than ever," adding, "We will fulfill the role of the audit so that public officials themselves maintain dignity and actively perform their responsibilities to take the lead in overcoming the national crisis."
