[Special Stock] Omni System Rises on Expected Benefits from Focused Investment in Korea New Deal Smart Industrial Complex

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Omni System's stock price is rising sharply as President Moon Jae-in expressed active support for the Smart Green Industrial Complex project, one of the 10 major tasks of the Korean New Deal.

As of 9:34 a.m. on the 18th, Omni System was trading at 3,200 won, up 24.76% (635 won) compared to the previous trading day.

The Smart Green Industrial Complex project aims to develop the entire industrial complex into an advanced base where digital and eco-friendly technologies are integrated, beyond the smartization of individual companies. The government plans to invest 3.2 trillion won by 2025.

President Moon presided over a briefing session at the Changwon National Industrial Complex in Gyeongnam the day before and said, "The Smart Green Industrial Complex is a manufacturing innovation strategy that transforms the economy from a follower to a leader and will become the compass of our economy."

Omni System is the first domestic company to produce digital electricity meters and specializes in remote metering systems. Based on core technologies such as electronic circuit design and precision calibration technology for measuring instruments, it is promoting a new business of energy management systems that integrate information and communication technology (ICT) into remote metering systems.

Omni System was also selected as a Seoul area operator for the national project ‘Future Smart Grid Demonstration Research Project’ conducted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. Through the project to build an energy management system (EMS) that integrates remote metering technology with ICT, it also participated in smart city projects.

The Omni System research institute has also conducted research on the 'Case Study of Smart Energy Integrated Control Construction for Building a Smart Industrial Complex Energy Platform.'
