Providing Non-Face-to-Face Health Management Services for Residents through Real-Time 1:1 Consultation
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Moon Seok-jin) has launched the ‘Seodaemun-gu Public Health Center Health Management Center’ channel on KakaoTalk to provide online consultation services for chronic diseases, health, exercise, and nutrition.
The district recently started this service to offer professional health management services remotely to residents who find it difficult to visit the public health center due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Through this channel, residents can resolve questions and obtain related information about metabolic syndrome and chronic diseases via real-time one-on-one chat with doctors, nurses, nutritionists, and exercise prescription specialists from the public health center.
They can also receive assistance for physical activities and nutrition management that can be easily practiced at home.
Residents wishing to consult can search for ‘Seodaemun-gu Public Health Center Health Management Center’ on KakaoTalk, add the channel, and participate.
Consultation hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, with 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. designated as intensive consultation hours for faster service.
Lee Jun-young, director of Seodaemun-gu Public Health Center, said, “During a time when social distancing is being practiced, we expect many residents to show interest and participate in this more useful non-face-to-face online professional consultation for health improvement and chronic disease prevention.”
