Kimcheon-o Muan Fire Station Fire Lieutenant Awarded 'Life Protection Emergency Medical Service Recipient'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Jeonnam Fire Headquarters (Chief Ma Jaeyoon) announced on the 16th that Fire Lieutenant Kim Cheon-o of the Muan Fire Station was selected as the recipient at the ‘2nd Life Protection Emergency Medical Service Award’ held at the Fire Agency auditorium.

The ‘Life Protection Emergency Medical Service Award’ is an event promoted by the Fire Agency to commend emergency medical service personnel who have contributed to protecting the lives of emergency patients and the development of the emergency medical system, with 20 recipients selected this year.

The awardees receive the Fire Agency Chief’s Award and a special one-rank promotion to boost the morale of 119 emergency medical service personnel and motivate them to improve their work capabilities, enabling more active activities at emergency scenes.

Fire Lieutenant Kim Cheon-o joined the fire service in 2004 and has been active as an emergency medical service personnel for 16 years, earning recognition for various achievements including six Heart Saver awards, a Trauma Saver award, transporting COVID-19 confirmed patients, serving as an emergency medical service instructor, and participating in special emergency medical teams.

In particular, as a veteran emergency medical service personnel, he responded to 3,305 dispatches and transported 2,212 cases over the past three years, actively worked as a professional emergency treatment instructor for provincial residents, and received the Governor’s Commendation for contributions to the development of emergency medical services, earning high evaluations in various fields.

Fire Lieutenant Kim Cheon-o said, “I will strive to be a personnel who gently cares for and empathizes with even the smallest wounds of patients encountered in various emergency scenes,” and added, “I will work harder to develop my capabilities and protect the lives and safety of the people, using this award as an opportunity.”
