The signing ceremony was held the day before at Woongjin Group in Jongno, Seoul, attended by representatives from the startups VisualCamp and Gurumi.
Through this business cooperation, Woongjin ThinkBig plans to introduce a new AI learning platform. It will provide enhanced AI personalized learning features, such as analyzing learners' learning behaviors and habits by tracking their gaze.
VisualCamp is a company with technology that can apply gaze-tracking technology, which tracks learners' pupil movements, to various industries. Gurumi is a company that developed a real-time video communication platform capable of conducting real-time non-face-to-face video classes with up to 1,000 users.
Choi Samrak, Head of IT Development at Woongjin ThinkBig, said, "We have been thinking a lot about how to overcome the shortcomings of online classes and provide quality education during the COVID-19 situation," adding, "We will introduce an AI learning service that can supplement the shortcomings that may occur in online classes by analyzing students' concentration and learning patterns through gaze tracking and other methods."
