Samsung SDS Shares Digital Transformation Capabilities at 'REAL 2020'


[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] Samsung SDS announced on the 7th that it will hold the 'REAL 2020' event online on the 9th and 10th to share on-site application cases and technological capabilities of digital transformation.


Now in its second year, the REAL event will be held online due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and anyone interested in digital innovation can participate.


Last year, Samsung SDS unveiled its digital transformation framework at 'REAL 2019.' This year, it will announce an upgraded version that includes a methodology supporting the entire process from diagnosing customers' digital maturity to strategy formulation and execution. Following this, Samsung SDS executives and experts will introduce real-world application cases focusing on DT engines centered on new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain, as well as DT solutions by sector.


On the 9th, under the theme of 'Corporate Management Innovation Based on Digital Technology,' innovation cases of core management systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) will be introduced. Additionally, under the theme of 'New Changes in Work Styles,' innovation cases utilizing the latest IT technologies such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), non-face-to-face communication including video conferencing, and 3D technology-based engineering collaboration will also be shared.


On the 10th, presentations on digital transformation cases by industry, including manufacturing, finance, and logistics, utilizing AI, cloud, and security technologies are scheduled. Hong Won-pyo, CEO of Samsung SDS, said, "We hope that the latest IT technologies and industry-specific on-site application cases introduced at REAL 2020 will provide sufficient insights to customers aiming to realize a digital enterprise."
