Pukyong National University and Korea Atomic Industrial Technology Association Industry-Academic Cooperation Agreement


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] On the 26th, the College of Engineering at Pukyong National University (Dean Kwon Ki-ryong) and the Korea Nuclear Industry Technology Association (Chairman Lee Woo-bang) signed an industry-academia cooperation agreement at Pukyong National University.


Through this agreement, the two institutions have agreed to strengthen various collaborations for joint research and talent development in key industries such as nuclear power.


The College of Engineering at Pukyong National University, which comprises 26 departments and 21 engineering research institutes, and the Korea Nuclear Industry Technology Association, an industrial technology research association in the nuclear field, have joined hands to advance the nuclear sector.


The two organizations plan to establish a mutual cooperation system by expanding exchanges in areas such as joint research and development related to nuclear power plant decommissioning, safety, and operation, as well as education and talent cultivation.


Additionally, they will work together to participate jointly in nuclear-related research and development projects and strive to expand research and development and the training of specialized personnel in the nuclear field.


Dean Kwon Ki-ryong of the College of Engineering at Pukyong National University stated, “We expect this agreement to have a significant synergy effect on the establishment of the Gijang Advanced Radiation Medical and Science Cluster that our university is promoting.”
