‘Future Directions of Education in the Post-Corona Era’

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Kim Soo-young) will hold the "Navi (Dreaming of Tomorrow's Soaring) Forum" to find the direction of future education at 3 p.m. on the 27th.

This forum was planned to find the direction of future education for appropriately responding to the changing educational environment due to the global spread and prolongation of infectious diseases and for redesigning the education system suitable for the digital age, under the theme of "The Direction of Future Education in the Post-Corona Era."

On this day, participants will listen to presentations from education experts on future education and the role of the community after COVID-19, and share opinions with public-private-academic governance committee members to collectively explore the direction of future education.

Three education experts will attend the lectures.

In the first session, Professor Lee Joo-ho of KDI School of Public Policy and Management will speak on "Educational Policy Changes After COVID-19." In the second session, Cho Ki-sung, President of the Smart Education Association, will present on "Smart Education in the Era of the 4th Industrial Revolution." The final session will feature Park Dong-guk, Education Advisor of Seoul City, discussing "The Direction of Innovative Education and Community Education Cooperation."

Additionally, school principals, teachers, parents, and community education stakeholders from various sectors will attend and have time to exchange diverse opinions with the speakers.

Meanwhile, in response to the recent resurgence of COVID-19, the district decided to conduct the forum simultaneously online and offline, minimizing the number of offline attendees.

The forum can be watched live from 3 p.m. on August 27th on Yangcheon-gu Office's official YouTube channel, "YangcheonTV," and viewers can communicate with forum participants through comments.

Kim Soo-young, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, emphasized, "The biggest concern after COVID-19 is our children's education issues. We have been considering various ways to find breakthroughs for education without disparities and interruptions, and this forum is one of those alternatives. Through this forum, we expect to seriously explore the direction of education after COVID-19 and further lead to policy and system improvements.
