Barogo Delivery Performance Increased by 15.2% Compared to Jeonju
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The number of delivery executions has surged due to the continuous heatwave and the resurgence of COVID-19. Barogo, a startup operating a last-mile logistics IT platform (CEO Lee Taekwon), announced on the 21st that the number of delivery executions increased by 15.2% this week compared to the same period from Monday to Wednesday last week.
The number of delivery executions from Monday to Wednesday this week was 1,214,000, showing an increase compared to 1,054,000 during the same period last week. In particular, the number of deliveries on the temporary holiday, the 17th, was 445,000, a 24.6% increase compared to the previous week.
This phenomenon is analyzed to have occurred because more consumers are resolving their meals with delivery food instead of cooking directly over fire or dining at restaurants due to the heatwave and the resurgence of COVID-19. Barogo explained that it is making every effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by organizing and operating an in-house 'COVID-19 Emergency Response Committee' task force.
