President Trump paid a 48-minute visit to the Presbyterian Hospital located in Manhattan that day.
During a White House briefing that day, President Trump said, "I have a very wonderful younger brother. We have had a great relationship from the beginning for a long time." He confirmed, "He is currently hospitalized," and added, "However, he is going through a very difficult time."
Although President Trump did not provide specific details about Robert's condition, U.S. media reported that he is in critical condition.
After the briefing, President Trump moved to his Bedminster golf course in New Jersey and later headed to New York City by helicopter.
Robert Trump was also the person who filed an injunction to stop the publication of his niece Mary Trump's book, "Too Much and Never Enough," which revealed personal stories including President Trump's dark upbringing and caused a stir, prior to its release last month.
