Yeonggwang-gun 'Women’s Culture Center Program' Recruiting Students


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeon Seong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Jun-seong) announced on the 14th that it will recruit students for the ‘Women’s Culture Center Program,’ which was postponed due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, from the 20th to the 29th of this month.


The courses offered this time are employment and entrepreneurship education for women with career interruptions, including ▲Level 1 Child Cooking Instructor ▲Level 2 Professional Organizer ▲Level 2 Ribbon Craft Certification ▲Level 1 Silver Cognitive Play Instructor Certification classes, as well as hobby and cultural courses such as ▲Pop Art ▲Food Therapy ▲Kalimba Music Class, totaling seven courses.


The number of recruits will be minimized to 16 or fewer per program to comply with social distancing measures, and the education will be conducted according to the schedule of each course starting from the 1st of next month.


Anyone who is a woman residing with an address in the county can apply, and applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through the county website (Citizen Welfare - Lifelong Learning) during the application period.


The tuition is free, and some material costs will be borne by certain students.


A county official stated, “We will continue to organize and operate various customized education programs to provide opportunities for women’s skill development and self-realization, and we plan to continuously manage those who complete employment and entrepreneurship education to connect them to jobs.”
