[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] The government is launching a campaign that refunds 10,000 won on the 6th dining out occasion if a person dines out five or more times from Friday afternoon to Sunday.

On the 13th, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT), the government is promoting a "Dining Out Activation Campaign" as part of the "Let's Go for Korea Farm Discount" event to revitalize the domestic economy, which has been sluggish due to COVID-19.

Starting from the 14th, this campaign offers a refund of 10,000 won via cashback or billing discount on the 6th dining out occasion when spending 20,000 won or more five times at dining establishments from 4 p.m. on Friday to midnight on Sunday. However, this week, due to the temporary holiday on the 17th, the period is extended until midnight on Monday.

The participating card companies are KB Kookmin, NH Nonghyup, Lotte, BC, Samsung, Shinhan, Woori, Hana, and Hyundai Card. To participate in this campaign, customers must first visit the event page in the notice section of each card company and click "Apply." The 10,000 won refund is provided as cashback or billing discount depending on the card company. Each card company allows up to two uses per day and one use per day at the same establishment, excluding entertainment establishments.

Delivery dining is also recognized as eligible, but when using delivery applications, payment must be made on-site through the delivery person.

Meanwhile, this campaign is on a first-come, first-served basis and will end early once the budget (33 billion won) is exhausted.
