[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Serat, located in the Chungju City Industrial Complex in Chungbuk, announced on the 13th that it donated 10 million won to the city to support local residents affected by the heavy rain.


Serat is a company that signed a new investment agreement with Chungju City in April last year and specializes in wellness products and medical devices based on advanced luxury medical ceramic materials.


Eun Kyung-ah, CEO of Serat, said, "I hope this small contribution will help the flood victims return to a stable life as soon as possible."


Cho Gil-hyeong, Mayor of Chungju City, said, "Despite the difficult conditions due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, we are grateful for the donation to help flood victims," and added, "We will do our best to restore the damage so that citizens can return to their daily lives quickly."


Meanwhile, CEO Eun was recognized for exemplary entrepreneurship in 2012, receiving the first Presidential Award for Young Entrepreneurs, and in 2017, she achieved a double Presidential Award as a distinguished contributor to venture startup promotion.
