[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeon Seong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Jun-seong) announced on the 13th that the Disease Control Headquarters of the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Public Health Center will jointly conduct the 'Community Health Survey' from the 16th to October 31.
The Community Health Survey is conducted annually under Article 4 of the Regional Health Act to understand the health status of local residents and to obtain statistical data for implementing health policies based on this.
The survey targets approximately 900 adults aged 19 and over selected by sampling, and trained surveyors will visit in person to conduct one-on-one interviews.
Notification letters and selection notices were sent by mail to the target households to ensure smooth survey progress.
The survey items include 142 questions on health behaviors (smoking, drinking, physical activity), experience of chronic disease diagnosis, medical utilization, and more.
Before conducting the survey, surveyors will adhere to basic COVID-19 prevention principles, check participants' health status such as body temperature, wear disposable masks, sanitize hands, and strictly follow COVID-19 safety guidelines throughout the process.
Yoon Jeong-hee, head of the Public Health Center, said, "Since the Community Health Survey is necessary to provide better health care services to the residents, we ask the selected residents for active participation and cooperation."
