Gyeongnam Gimhae-si, Social Economy Success Package Startup Academy Completion Ceremony

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Gimhae City in Gyeongnam announced on the 13th that the Gimhae City Social Community Support Center held a completion ceremony for the Social Economy Success Package Startup Academy.

The completion ceremony was held in compliance with social distancing guidelines to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), with 20 graduates who completed the Social Economy Success Package Startup Academy course in attendance.

This academy was operated over two days from the 11th to the 12th, with 4 hours each day, inviting experts in the field to provide basic education on social economy, social entrepreneurship spirit and social mission, exploration of social enterprise business models, and practical training on writing business plans to foster and start social enterprises.

Park Seong-yeon, Director of the Job and Economy Bureau of Gimhae City, said, “We hope that this academy will serve as a stepping stone for many quality social enterprises to be established and grow.”

The Gimhae City Social Community Support Center plans to continuously provide consulting for social enterprise certification and designation, consulting to concretize business plans, and startup support education for the graduates of this Social Economy Success Package Startup Academy course to help them grow into social enterprises in the future.
